“What is the name of your childhood best friend?” is a security question that I always rely on, because I know I’ll never forget the answer. I can’t quite recall the exact moment that Sarah and I became friends, but I like to think that is how some of the best friendships begin.
To know Sarah is to love her. She has been such a bright ray of sunshine in my life for the last 17 years, and it is a joy to know that Ian is someone that adds to her light. Just as she’s had my back through every milestone, I am beyond excited to stand by her side as she starts this new chapter. Cheers to you two - can’t wait to celebrate!

Oh brother. This Ian guy? We've kept it real with each other for forever. We bicker here and there over some silly stuff, but we always sort it out and learn from each other. He's always encouraging me to go out and have fun together, with family, and with friends. He's always got my back in some way. I've always felt like he's been there for me. A real good guy. And if you ever need someone to secure you a route to the basement to play Smash Bros past your bedtime (at age like, 6 or something), this is the guy for you. And Sarah? Lovely. She felt like family right away, and is such a funny, incredible person. She wasn't there for the Smash Bros business back in the day, but she might as well have been.
Renée Donaldson - Bridesmaid
Hi everyone! My name is Renée and I’m a bridesmaid. When I moved to a new school in the fourth grade, Sarah was one of my first friends, and has been an integral part of my life ever since. She has been by my side for many of my fondest memories, and experiences that have made me who I am today. Playing “snow doggies” on the playground, filming music videos to One Direction songs, finding our mutual love of books and writing, discovering liquid eyeliner and alternative music, moving into residence at Western and working at The Spoke… We’ve been together through all these stages of life, and it’s surreal that this next stage has come so soon. I am so grateful to witness the love and joy between Sarah and Ian, and cannot wait to join you all in celebrating them and this new stage of life. See you all in July!

I’ve known Ian most of our lives, it's been about 21 years at this point??? Coconuts. From meeting way back at playball as kids, we’ve been doing stuff together ever since. Karate, piano, and all through school and now even as business partners, Ian’s been one of my best friends as far back as I can remember. That old routine of meeting up every Saturday to just relax and do whatever way back when are some of my most cherished memories to this day. Ian’s the kinda guy who’s always looking out for everyone and has a way of getting people together that I’ll always appreciate. Over the moon to see Ian and Sarah taking these new steps in life.
Mondo coconuts and radical beyond belief

We were studying at the UWO campus library when Sarah leaned over and whispered, “Hey Liz, I have a crush,” and the rest is history. Although Sarah and I met at the beginning of university, it feels like we’ve known each other our whole lives. Some of my favourite memories are with Sarah, from tray-bogganing down UC hill, to being each other’s dates to school formals, to setting off the fire alarm every time we cooked. But the times I cherish most are the late-night chats in our bedrooms talking about life. What are you doing after graduation? Is time a social construct? How do you know if you’re truly happy? But why can’t we just print more money? As much as Sarah jokes about not having a plan for most things in life, the one thing she’s always certain about is Ian. Sarah’s like my partner in crime (the Luigi to my Mario) and I can’t wait to celebrate the love between her and Ian at their wedding day, and for the rest of their lives. I’m so honoured to be by her side.

When I first met Ian, he was obsessed with games. Clearly, some things haven't changed! I am very grateful to have been friends with him through elementary and high school. He was up for anything - playing board games, soccer, swimming, or going on a bike adventure. For as long as I've known him, Ian has been a kind and loving friend. Someone I feel I could share anything with. Sarah has been an amazing and friendly presence in Ian's life and I am excited to witness them begin their next chapter together

I met Sarah when she transferred to Fessenden in grade 4 - we weren’t in the same class that year but she and I became friends quickly! As we’ve grown up, playing together at recess has been replaced by going to concerts, getting tattoos, and getting ourselves into a lot of silly scenarios. Some of my fondest summer memories include the countless amounts times we’ve carpooled to our friends cottages, blasting the obnoxious screamo music that only the two of us truly love.
When Ian came into Sarah’s life, it all felt so natural; since the start they have complimented each other perfectly. I am so proud of the two of them and how they’ve grown, and I cannot wait to celebrate their love with the rest of the wedding party!

It’s strange to think that there was ever a time when Ian and I weren’t friends. From running around pretending to be Sonic the Hedgehog at 5 to indulging in late night cocktails and movie nights at 25, he’s been a steady presence in my life for the last twenty years and one of the best people I’ve had the privilege to know. Even though we’re older now and can’t see each other every Friday like we used to, Ian is one of those rare friends where you can pick up right where you left off as if no time passed at all. Though I have not known her as long, Sarah brings a warm friendly presence and support to all our shenanigans, putting up with our discourse on Dune, board games, and every other nonsense with patience and wit. I’m so glad they found each other and I’m delighted to see where this next chapter of their lives will take them together.
Megan Rowe - Bridesmaid
Hi, I’m Megan and I’m one of Sarah’s bridesmaids. I met Sarah in the fourth grade at a High School Musical watch party. At first, I thought she was a weirdo but nothing brings 9 year old girls together like Troy Bolton. She soon became one of my favourite people. From playing Rock Band in my basement to drooling over tumblr boys to crying at countless concerts, we have shared 17 years of amazing memories. She has been a constant pillar of support in my life. Sarah is one of the funniest, sweetest and most passionate people I have ever met and I couldn’t imagine life without her. When I first met Ian, I knew he was a perfect match for Sarah. Calm, funny, caring and of course, a dead ringer for Michael Cera. Congratulations Sarah and Ian! So excited to see where the future takes you two!

It has been one of the great privileges of my life to grow up next to Ian since our paths crossed in elementary school. For the last 15 years, we’ve seen each other in every possible situation; we’ve laughed until we cried, cried until we laughed again, and once even managed to get raw egg on his parents’ ceilings while eating chilli. When we moved to different cities for university, I remember talking during those early, heady days about all our new experiences, especially a secret, technically forbidden romance Ian had with a Soph. I met Sarah for the first time that fall, and then, over the years, watched as Ian and her grew into the exceptional people they are today. I am delighted to call them both my beloved friends and I cannot wait to see what this beautiful life has in store. After all, we are only in the opening quarter of our lifelong friendship.

Always the bridesman, never the bride. But alas, for Sarah I would do anything! I’m so grateful to have known Sarah since the seventh grade and to now be able to stand up next to her at her wedding. I like to think we have a special relationship where we completely understand each other - she may not want to admit it but we’ve always had a LOT in common. Something I’ve always appreciated most about Sarah is how open she is with her heart. She’s part of this close knit group of girls to have brought me in and for their friendship I am forever thankful. I couldn’t be any happier to see her so matched in kindness and whimsy as she is with Ian, and I look forward to celebrating the big day with these two people whom I love very much.

Ian and I have been friends since we were but wee little lads in elementary school. I would say that we’ve been friends for as long as I can remember, but my memory is truly terrible so that wouldn’t be saying much. But!! One memory that has stayed etched into my brain is from Ian’s sixth or seventh birthday. We were having the best day ever, playing, eating, making fools of ourselves, and I overindulged on watermelon big time. So much so that I threw up all over the Czajczyc family bathroom. Thankfully Ian’s mom was there and made sure I was okay. After cleaning me up a little, Ian grabbed me and we dove right back in to the fruit spread. Ian’s always down for a good time, and when it goes a bit too far, going right back in.
Nina Vujovic - Bridesmaid
Hi my name is Nina and I’m a bridesmaid! I met Sarah on the very first day of grade four. We were two new kids at Fessenden, and I am so grateful our paths led us to meet on that day, so that all these years later she’s still making me laugh till my belly hurts. It’s hard to pick a favourite memory when we’ve seen each other through so many phases of life: lining up to see the Justin Bieber movie, like for a TBH, loitering at Chapters, our tumblr obsession era, and even our historically bad side bangs. I know we’re all so excited to celebrate Sarah and Ian on their special day, and I could be not be more happy that our Sarah has found her price charming.
Viraj Whabi - Groomsman
I first met Ian in our grade 9 French class where we became fast friends over our shared love of FC Barcelona. I distinctly remember the time we sat side-by-side on a school bus trip, listening to the music of David Bowie, and realizing then that we would be the best of buds. I will always miss our hangouts at Gareth's the most! We’ve done a lot of growing up since then, but we’ve done it together — from partying at Western’s FOCO to watching Messi play live in Paris and even moshing at a wild Death Grips show. It's safe to say that Ian has always been cool, and will always be the "best of us".
Then, I had the pleasure of meeting Sarah, who somehow is even cooler! She even went to my girlfriend Amy's high school! Like two peas in a pod, Ian and Sarah fit together so perfectly that it’s obvious to anyone near them. They are also the ultimate double date buddies, whether you want to visit the local frog exhibit or celebrate BRAT GIRL SUMMER. I’m beyond excited to celebrate them and witness them take on the world as the Supreme Power Couple.
